The 2017 AIAS conference was hosted by Melbourne University. Held over three days in late November the conference provided delegates with interactive talks and open forums along with tours of the Harry Brooks Allen Museum of Anatomy and Pathology, Anatomy facilities and some ventured to the School of Veterinary science.

Presentations included  –

  • Preparation & Articulation of skeletal material fro museum display
  • Simulating cross sectional anatomy of the head
  • Basics of plastination
  • Harford’s Flute Boy
  • Egyptian mummy brought back to life
  • UoM donor database

Social events included a pre conference welcome function and the conference dinner was held in the Bong Su room at the Royal Melbourne Zoo.
